The women reviving Uva's tea-country kitchens

In the hills above Ella, a women-led collective has turned everyday home cooking into one of Jackfruit's most-loved experiences. What began as a few shared meals between neighbours is now a livelihood for a dozen families.

Guests shop the morning market, then cook a five-curry spread — dhal, coconut sambol, jackfruit curry — before sitting down to eat together.

We cook the food our grandmothers cooked — and now the whole world is at our table.
Nadeesha, founder

The collective is eco-certified and women-owned, two of the inclusive badges Jackfruit champions. Every booking puts more of the money directly into the cooks' hands.
