We're always looking for fresh voices to share stories from across Sri Lanka. Tell us a little about you and what you'd like to write.
Who we're looking for
We're especially interested in voices from outside Colombo, and from communities often underrepresented in public storytelling.
- Writers, photographers and makers doing creative, place-based work.
- Community storytellers with first-hand local knowledge.
- Anyone with a meaningful story about Sri Lankan culture, food or craft.
What makes a good submission
- A clear angle or story — not just a topic.
- Roughly 600–1,200 words, or a strong photo essay.
- A values-driven, curious tone that connects with our readers.
Once you submit your pitch, we'll be in touch within 2–3 weeks if we'd like to proceed. When your piece is published, we'll set you up on your adventures.
